As Vice President of Design, Dan leads Effective’s digital transformation efforts and co-manages its design and research teams. He understands the challenges that our clients are facing while also possessing the experience and drive to accompany them down the path of digital transformation. Dan enjoys collaborating with our clients to incorporate the Effective mindset of leading with a measurable, human-centered design approach into how they traditionally work. Dan is our resident senior financial services expert in Denver. With more than 15 years of industry experience, he has solved complex problems by partnering with clients such as TIAA, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and Merrill Lynch. Before working at Effective, Dan was User Experience Manager at Roundarch and Director of User Experience at Fuser.com. Dan’s expertise and passion lie in helping individuals at all organizational levels adopt a design mentality that allows them to take ownership of the products that we build together. Dan earned a bachelor’s degree in individualized study for studio art, postmodern communications, and computer science from New York University. He also holds a certificate in traditional French cooking techniques from the International Culinary Center in New York City. An active thought leader, Dan is a dedicated mentor to the students at General Assembly Denver, where he is a career coach and provides portfolio reviews. In his free time, Dan loves to attend live concerts, cook, and snowboard in the Rocky Mountains.
